Major Practical Project - Someone else's handywork.

So here are the prints that I received back from being printed by someone else. Although they are really good quality prints in their own right, I just don't feel it is right for this project.
For the most part, the tones in the images are almost perfect. However, there are a few examples where, knowing how I want the final image to look, I would have printed them slightly differently.
In the case of this image, I feel there is slightly too much of a green cast. Although there is a lot of green in the image itself, I do feel that it is slightly overbearing.

Also, there are a couple of examples where the framing of the image might not be straight. In these cases, I would correct them in the enlarger, cropping small amount from the corners and tilting the back board so that the final image appears straight. However, without this knowledge, the printer has produced exactly what is in the negative. Obviously, it should have been straight in the first place, but when printing myself I know I can rectify these small mistakes.

Overall, I am glad I had some back-up prints made, in case I couldn't produce the prints that I wanted to in the darkroom. However, I am also glad that I have had time to make my own prints, in order to retain creative control over the outcome of the project.
